Remember this?
If you read us last month, this is what our house looked like when it first came home! My dad bought it for me for $250. It takes a lot of vision to imagine where it will go, but we have already come so far, but we started painting it petit four pink and added triple up bunk beds. More pics soon!

new friends!
We love, love LOVE our 16-year-old beagle-corgie mix, Maynard (named for Maynard James Keenan). He is the best dog EVER.
We would never, ever want to replace Maynard. However, there was a day when we had quite a few family pets: two cats, two dogs, a bird, a hamster. Everyone has died of old age over the years, and our little family has been a bit human-heavy lately. We had talked about getting a second dog since we are on a farm now, but we usually let the universe bring us our pets, a policy that has not let us down yet.
This has been a difficult and heartbreaking couple of weeks, with the loss of my mother to her longtime terminal illness the most difficult in a series of challenging and painful events. It was a wonderful surprise when my dad knocked on our tiny house door last night with two little new friends for Maynard! Meet the children!
